The cell culture stirring system incorporates everything you need to achieve high cell yields for your application. The soft start/stop feature provides slow acceleration and deceleration of the stirrer, avoiding excessive turbulence in the culture media and eliminating cell damage. Use the interval stirring mode during the attachment phase to further reduce agitation of the media or when culturing particularly fragile cells. The stirrers create virtually no heat making them suitable for use in both incubators and cold rooms.
Use the biological stirrer with Cole-Parmer® Essentials spinner flask assemblies—order separately. The culture flasks with a unique base design and the bulb-ended stirrer ensure that the cells are lifted into suspension at the lowest possible speeds promoting high cell yields.
