Specifically designed for researchers interested in long-term net carbon exchange (NCE) measurements, the 8200-104C Clear Long-Term Chamber uses patented and trusted technology with updates to weather resistance and sensor compatibility. This line of chambers now accepts industry standard SDI-12 connections for digital communication with sensors.

A clear chamber allows sunlight to reach your plants during a measurement. The chamber automatically rotates to and away from collars for automated measurements over long periods of time.

The 8200-104C Clear Long-Term Chamber has been specially designed for NCE measurements. It includes technology and patents designed to minimize chamber impact on natural plant and soil activity with consideration toward:

Net Carbon Exchange Measurements

With the 8200-104C Clear Long-Term Chamber, plants inside the chamber continue to receive light throughout a measurement. A clear-top chamber ensures that photosynthesis is not interrupted and enables you to measure NCE—a key variable for understanding ecosystem carbon balance. NCE is the gross primary production minus the ecosystem respiration.
